Neocare is a UK-based specialist manufacturer of precision-engineered stainless steel equipment for the healthcare and Pharmaceuticals and Life Science sectors. Established 19 years ago, the company has built a strong reputation, particularly within the NHS, for producing high-quality, durable, and bespoke fabricated solutions that meet the rigorous demands of Clinical teams, Decontamination, Sterilisation, Infection Control and Good Manufacturing Practices.

All products are manufactured in Newport, Wales using high-grade British steel. The business is supported by experienced fabrication and welding teams with a deep, practical understanding of Healthcare, Pharmaceutical and Life Science environments and regulatory requirements.

Neocare proudly supports a wide range of hospital departments and specialties, including Endoscopy, ENT, CSSD (Central Sterile Services Departments), and Estates teams. Working closely with both clinical and operational stakeholders, we understand the unique demands of each environment—from infection control and compliance to workflow efficiency and staff wellbeing. As a British manufacturer, we combine precision engineering with a highly flexible approach, offering both standard and fully bespoke solutions tailored to individual project requirements. Our products are renowned for their exceptional quality, durability, and long service life. This commitment to craftsmanship and adaptability ensures that every solution not only meets the immediate needs of healthcare environments but continues to deliver value long into the future.

Neocare has recently transitioned to new ownership under Managing Director Rakesh Javer, who brings over 25 years of senior leadership experience within leading healthcare and medical device organisations including Liko- A Baxter Healthcare Company, Olympus Medical, and Wassenburg. This marks a strategic moment as Neocare is evolving its brand and capabilities to become a solution‑driven healthcare, Pharmaceuticals and Life Sciences engineering partner, supporting both UK and European healthcare providers.

Neocare was founded by Steve Ladley, an innovative entrepreneur who identified a clear gap in the healthcare market for ergonomic, height-adjustable solutions within sterile services and decontamination environments. With a strong focus on improving staff wellbeing—particularly reducing back strain—Neocare was established to bring practical, user-focused design into clinical spaces.

2007- First installation

Neocare successfully designed and installed its first height-adjustable sink, marking the company’s entry into the NHS and setting the foundation for future product development in decontamination and sterile services environments.

A product that set the foundation for everything we do today. Built with care, precision and a deep understanding of clinical environments, it represents the heritage that continues to guide our work. From those early beginnings, our focus has remained the same: uncompromising quality, thoughtful design and a commitment to supporting healthcare professionals with solutions they can rely on every day. This first sink is a reminder of the values that shaped Neocare — craftsmanship, innovation and a dedication to improving hygiene standards in care settings.

Late 2000s – Growth in Endoscopy & Decontamination Demand

The late 2000s saw rapid expansion of endoscopy services across the NHS, driven by increased screening programmes and diagnostic demand. This led to a significant rise in the need for high-quality decontamination facilities and equipment.
Reference context: NHS reports and publications (e.g. Department of Health’s “Health Building Note 13” and JAG accreditation standards) highlighted the growing importance of compliant, efficient decontamination processes during this period.

Late 2000s – Product Range Expansion

In response to customer feedback and evolving clinical needs, Neocare expanded its product range beyond sinks to include transfer hatches, height-adjustable benches, and other ergonomic solutions. This growth remained closely aligned with the company’s founding mission: supporting healthcare professionals through better design and improved working conditions.

2010s – Increasing Demand in Sterile Services (CSSD)

Throughout the 2010s, hospital sterile services departments (CSSDs) experienced sustained growth due to rising volumes of both emergency and elective surgeries. Many departments underwent expansion and refurbishment, with Neocare equipment becoming a trusted component in modernised facilities across the NHS.

2016 – 10-Year Anniversary

Neocare celebrated its 10th anniversary, marking a decade of innovation, customer collaboration, and consistent delivery of high-quality healthcare solutions. By this point, the company had established a strong reputation within the NHS and private healthcare sectors.

2020 – COVID-19 Pandemic Response

During the global COVID-19 pandemic, Neocare remained a committed partner to the NHS. The company rapidly responded to unprecedented demand by producing both standard and bespoke solutions to support infection control, increased patient volumes, and the reconfiguration of clinical spaces.

2023-2024 – Development

By 2022, Neocare had developed an extensive product portfolio supporting multiple hospital departments, including Endoscopy, ENT, CSSD, and operating theatres. Alongside its standard range, the company increasingly focused on bespoke solutions tailored to specific clinical and spatial requirements.

During 2023 and moving into 2024, many NHS hospitals facing pressure from ageing infrastructure and the impact of RAAC (Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete) in buildings, Neocare played a key role in supporting estates teams. The company contributed to refurbishment and reconfiguration projects through both standard products and specialist fabrication solutions.

During this period the NHs continued efforts to reduce patient waiting times following the pandemic, Neocare supported hospitals through the installation of both temporary and permanent facilities. These solutions helped increase capacity and improve workflow efficiency as part of the elective recovery programme.

2025- Leadership Transition, A New Chapter

Founder Steve Ladley transitioned into retirement, handing over the business to Rakesh Javer. This marked a significant milestone in Neocare’s journey, ensuring continuity while opening the door to future growth.
